England vs Ireland 2nd ODI 2020

Morgan finished the 1st ODI off with a mighty 6. It shows intent, and it shows England are not in the mood mess around. With the awful batting start, England will not be so complacent in game 2. Ireland was 5/29 at one point and really should have been rolled for sub 100. Its unlikely England will change the lineup – but you never know. Start tuned for the team announcements.

England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow (wk), James Vince, Eoin Morgan (capt), Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, Saqib Mahmood.

England vs Ireland 1st ODI 2020 Match Prediction

england cricket
England to win

England easily won the first ODI against Ireland and we expect more of the same in the 2nd ODI. England will probably stick to the same side given the test series against Pakistan starts on the 5th August. England will not want to risk injuries to key players.

Since 31 Jul 2018, England has won the coin toss 18 of 31 times. England has a 67% win rate when winning the toss and 54% win rate when losing the toss.

Ireland is without last years leading ODI bowler, Mark Adai, as he continues his rehabilitation following ankle surgery.

Since 31 Jul 2018, Ireland won the coin toss 12 of 21 times. Ireland won only twice when winning the toss – 16.7% and won 55% upon losing the toss.

The forecast is scattered showers s with a top temperature of 21 degrees. How lovely England is in Summer!
